About Aaron Parazette

With a refined visual language of defined lines, forms, and colors, Aaron Parazette attempts to trick the eye into believing his paintings contain three-dimensional depth. Across his oeuvre, Parazette employs stretched-out, undulating forms alongside bold juxtapositions of color, often limiting each canvas to no more than three or four hues. From 2004 to 2008, his abstract works featured text, including elongated phrases in Helvetica font. Following the conclusion of this series, Parazette extended his investigations of form and line into shaped canvases, frequently combining multiple panels to create one work.
