Adolf Loos, ‘Elephant table’, ca. 1910, Cooper Hewitt, Smithsonian Design Museum

Eight-legged table with a frieze of conjoined demi-lune swags of wood under the round table top resting on the legs. The table top is centered by a square of iridescent yellow glazed tiles surrounded by striated grained veneered wood panels.
