About Aisha Rahim

Aisha Rahim uses miniature illustration techniques to create works that address themes of crises and unrest in contemporary Pakistani culture. Her most frequent subjects include the power struggle between men and women and the horrors of child abuse. Her works are characterized by their emotional gravity, carefully ordered compositions, pattern-like forms, and detailed attention to line and tone. Rahim has been known to incorporate handprints, footprints, and hair into her compositions.
