About Alberto Di Fabio
Alberto Di Fabio's abstract paintings and works on paper take their cues from science and the natural world, depicting flora, fauna, astral systems, and DNA in vivid color and detail. In creating his closely observed and patterned paintings, Di Fabio works in tandem with his reading of texts of chemistry, physics, and biology. He has cited a fascination with tradition-bound artists such as de Chirico and Giotto in addition to the more obvious influence of American Abstract Expressionists Willem de Kooning and Jackson Pollock.
