A creamy sunset of pale pink, brilliant amber and tangerine orange fills the background of this landscape painting. Thick, gestural layers of colour dance together, creating unbounded energy, rhythm and light in the otherwise desolate and sparse landscape. Cameron has the extraordinary ability to find within each scene that he paints a pure sense of beauty and fascination.

Accomplished Canadian painter, Alex Cameron is a celebrated, well-known contemporary painter with an exceptional outlook on the world. Alex’s current work displays the virtuosity of an artist in his prime as he continues to create new abstract canvases that are among the best. Working in the tradition of Van Gogh, and referencing the work of Canadian landscape painters such as the Group of Seven, his voice is very much his own.

His oils, watercolours and early acrylics are in many museums, corporate and private collections and showcased in catalogues worldwide.
