In contrast to his most colourful, two-dimensional works, Alex Katz focuses entirely on the line with the series "Porcelain Beauty": Only black contours - with greatly exaggerated contrast - form the facial features of the women portrayed. Like a silhouette, Katz reduces herself to the colours black and white. In 2019 and 2020, he already produced six versions of the "Beauty" portfolio as drawings, now they have been published enamelled on aluminium.
