Alex Perweiler founded the Brooklyn-based art organization The Still House Group with Isaac Brest in 2007. Perweiler creates installations and sculptures, in addition to his experimental photographic works. In these, he makes photographs without a camera by exposing sheets of photographic paper to light and leaving them unfixed. The resulting images are abstracted, brightly saturated, and often monochromatic, changing constantly over time. Perweiler also works on a number of collaborations with other Still House artists, and creates artist’s books.
