Allison Holt, ‘Strange Loop #4’, 2016, San Francisco Cinematheque: Benefit Auction 2016

Allison Leigh Holt maps cosmology and human consciousness across a wide range of media. In her research-based practice, she translates ways of knowing into perceivable forms, presenting her findings in video, sculpture, diagrams and performance. Strange Loop #4 is a sculptural trinity of incandescent glass, mirrors and magnets that includes viewers' true reflections, as others see them. Holt is a 2016 Smithsonian Artist Research Fellowship finalist and a current Eureka Fellowship nominee. Her works have been exhibited across North America and Indonesia.
