Allison Miller (Artist in Residence ’14) lives and works in Los Angeles. She is represented by Susan Inglett Gallery, New York and The Pit, Los Angeles, and has had solo exhibitions at The Finley, Los Angeles, and ACME., Los Angeles. Group exhibitions include Made in LA 2012 at the Hammer Museum, Los Angeles, and exhibitions at the Bregenzer Kunstverein, Austria; the Orange County Museum of Art; The Pit; GAVLAK, Los Angeles; The Pizzuti Collection, Columbus, Ohio; Gagosian Gallery; Ameringer|McEnery|Yohe, New York; the Santa Barbara Museum of Art; and the Las Vegas Museum of Art. In 2014, she was the recipient of the Richard Diebenkorn Teaching Fellowship; she is the 2017 Frederick Hammersley Foundation Visiting Artist in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Her work has been written about or reviewed in Artforum, Frieze, Flash Art, Modern Painters, Hyperallergic, Contemporary Art Review Los Angeles, and The Los Angeles Times. She received her BFA from the Rhode Island School of Design and her MFA from the University of California, Los Angeles.
