In her work, Amanda Williams explores the various properties of color to formulate a bold, vivid, and personal color theory. Pulling in found text and other references, Williams looks to investigate the place of race in the cultural sphere. Her work has been exhibited at Blanc Gallery, Chicago; the Chicago Architecture Biennial; and The Studio Museum in Harlem, New York. Williams’s work is also featured in the Joyner/Giuffrida Collection, San Francisco and in the Cornell University Collection, Ithaca.
