Art and creative expression has always been a part of Amber Goldhammer’s life. She started painting with pigments, powders, and waxes, using the human face as her subject. This form of art led her to Los Angeles where she began working with various artists and celebrities.
She started experimenting with different mediums, processes and in various locations. Learning to surrender to the creative flow expressed through painting was a long journey for Amber.
Following this enlightenment led her to study with art mentor Rassouli. His movement called Fusionart guided her to find her unique artistic vision. The artistic expression of a Fusion artist flows from the heart, and reflects what is felt rather than what is observed.
“I gravitate towards the multi-dimensional colors of the ocean in my works and predominantly paint with my hands. The connection between me and the canvas is much deeper this way rather than having an extension of my expression through a paintbrush. The organic quality is enhanced by the role nature plays as many of my works are created with sand from the beach and are left in the sun, helping to produce unique textures and variations in the surfaces.”

About Amber Goldhammer
Amber Goldhammer paints vibrant, abstract or near-abstract compositions, typically in acrylic on canvas and often featuring blocks of color or drips of paint that she renders using only her hands. A former student of Rassouli, the founder of the Fusionart movement that aims to marry Eastern mysticism with Western art techniques, Goldhammer strives to express emotion in her paintings, and frequently draws inspiration for her palette from the colors of the ocean. “The organic quality is enhanced by the role nature plays,” she has said, “as many of my works are created with sand from the beach and are left in the sun, helping to produce unique textures and variations in the surfaces.”
