Originally a photographer and studio assistant for Sol Lewitt, Amy Rathbone has become known for her site-specific installations and enigmatic drawings. In her own words, she seeks to understand “the place between two and three dimensions.” Her 2015 work Shi balances delicate brushwork and a deceptively simple palette with deeper themes and ontological meaning. Rathbone has exhibited extensively across North America.
