riginal "Arc in Ceil" table lamp designed by Andrea Bellosi in 1979. The lamp projects a ray of halogen light through a prism and it is regulable.
Our policy with regard to the treated pieces is to leave them as much as possible to their natural state with minimum restoration unless its strictly necessary for conservation. In our view an object retains its charm and value even, and especially, in the imperfections and signs that the passing of time has left on them. I believe that time is indissociable from the creative work that lives and matures: you need to respect the integrity and the natural state of every historic piece, avoiding superficial cosmetic interventions and restoring only when strictly necessary for conservation.
"There is an arc in the sky.
It is not made by men, it is not brick or stone.
It is an arc of light and colors.
Ephemeral appearance. It is the bridge that God has launched to men as a sign of peace.
But today the rainbow is not there "
(Andrea Bellosi, 11 September 2001)
Fantastic and architectural lamp, designed by Andrea Bellosi in 1979 and manufactured in Alchimia Studio. It projects a halogen light beam through a prism by decomposing it into a rainbow, which becomes visible in the wall on which it is projected. It can be adjusted separately so that, in this way, the position of the rainbow can put, of the desired way. Besides, depending on the size of the room and the distance between the lamp and the wall, the rainbow changes its size, being able to get large rainbows. It was restored.
