The topics she has addressed in her practice range from workers’ rights and the Occupy Movement to sexuality and gender discrimination, and is a self-described feminist artist. In a past multimedia exhibition, Bowers explored a historic labor movement, absorbing and reconfiguring its imagery in monumental graphics and linking its legacy to the contemporary Occupy Movement.
