"This is definitely just a celebration piece. In many first nations' cultures, raising your hands to someone is a sign of respect, of welcoming, or of thanks. I am into the idea of developing new languages. Sometimes I write in the style of character that I would want to be able to read, as I write this - I guess technically I already speak this language then... This one would for sure be some message from the burbling water, something poetic but also like the noise if a keyboard started to scream... I really love the landscape here, the quietness of the fish swimming, and the black swirl lines that separate each of the green rolling hills. If you’ve never been in a long house, or a big house - go. Sit by the fire and listen to stories. Stay around for the salmon bake." -Andrew Steiger
