At the end of the 1960s, in a particularly fruitful time for Italian industrial design, Stimulated by Beniamino Bonetto a lively group of Italian architects design an innovative line of furniture in laminate or ash clear, destined for a younger audience, the "Ultrapiatti". The Ultrapiatti series makes furniture easy to carry, simply folding them as origami. The collection immediately arouses great success. It is published in the most important industry magazines and stands out for its presence in major exhibitions from 1972 to 1980s.
