Antonio Sanfilippo (Partanna, 1923-Roma, 1980), was an italian painter, who greatly influenced and contributed to the development of abstract art in Italy. He was one of the most important characters of the artistic group "Forma 1". As the other partecipants, he supported a non realistic art, in whichthe important part is the form and not the meaning or implications of the subject. The lithograph presented is a perfect example of this peculiar view of art, in which signs and forms are the central themes.

Signature: Hand signed.
