«Poursuite» is a site specific artwork installed at the heart of the Musée de Montmartre’s garden. Design and installed by Atelier YokYok, an artists and architects team and presented by re.riddle for the Montmartre’s museum, this artwork is part of the FIAC 2017 and will be exposed until October 31st 2017.
Its graphic lines, as light beams, bring a focus on the pool, central element of the scenery. Evoking the show stage, the play with volumes materialized by tighten straps draws a space that extends the visitor’s experience in Montmartre, between light and shadows.
‘‘Poursuite’’ is a geometric play composed of two cones with a common basis: the circular pool. These
two volumes, fastened to the two tall plane trees bordering the garden, interpenetrates each other and
are attached to the ledge of the existing pool, at the center of the lawn.
A hundred of 18 straps is composing the artwork. A peripherical rope is attached around the pool, under the concrete rim. It offers multiple points to attach the straps. The site is entirely preserved.
