This work is a sewn painting where sections of the line making are painted on the canvas and other sections are sewn in with embroidery floss.

At a quick glance one might not notice the different materials used and on closer inspection the areas become distinguished.

Stone left some sections of the canvas ‘empty’ as blocks that interrupt the otherwise intense line making.

The title refers to this and to the feeling as a mother that her time and art-practice is always interrupted for the needs of others.
