In "Looking for an Answer", a contemporary bronze sculpture, Beatriz Gerenstein explores the human journey for self-understanding. The sculpture shows a golden-brown, chrysalis-like structure floating in the space, and a human figure is above it, climbing a golden- brown rope that comes out from an opening in the cocoon. The nest is beautiful, bright and plenty of light but also is broken and torn into some parts, as our life is.
Where he comes from? Where is he going to? Why do things happen? The human being figurine leans out of the cocoon, grasping just a glimpse of the universe out there. He breaks the inner boundaries of the surrounding reality trying to escape from its limitations and then climbs high, looking into the free space, trying to find an answer to the mysteries of his existence, his anguish.
A certificate of authenticity with a photo of the sculpture, an embossed seal and the signature of Beatriz Gerenstein will be provided with the sculpture.
