A photojournalist who made his name as an original staff member at Paris Match, Benno Graziani is known for his black-and-white images of the ’50s through ’70s, depicting the glamorous lives of the most famous celebrities of that time. Graziani’s close relationships with Charlie Chaplin, Jane Fonda, Brigitte Bardot, Kirk Douglas, Audrey Hepburn, and Jackie Kennedy—who invited him to join the Kennedys on a family holiday in 1962—allowed him to capture intimate snapshots of their lives. “There are people who make history, those who endure it, and those who tell about it,” he once said. “That’s me.”
