Beverly Fishman’s conceptually layered paintings and sculptures center around critiquing the “seductive” sheen of the technology, healthcare and pharmaceutical industries, borrowing techniques from minimalism to synthesize form and color with social content. Since 2000, Fishman has been the subject of over two dozen one-person exhibitions in London, Paris, Berlin, Chicago, Los Angeles, St. Louis, and Thessaloniki, most recently at Cue Art Foundation and Kravets Wehby in New York, NY . Her exhibitions include the American Academy of Arts and Letters, the Columbus Museum of Art, the Frederik Meijer Gardens & Sculpture Park, Museum of Fine Art at Florida State University, Weatherspoon Art Museum, Greensboro, NC, the Boulder Museum of Contemporary Art, the Eli and Edythe Broad Art Museum, and the Toledo Museum of Art. Fishman is currently Artist-in-Residence and Head of Painting at the Cranbrook Academy of Art.
