Brett Goodroad (Tournesol Awardee ’12–’13) grew up in Montana and lives and works in San Francisco. He received his MFA from the San Francisco Art Institute. He has exhibited at the Luggage Store Gallery, San Francisco; the Drawing Center, New York; and Gregory Lind Gallery, San Francisco. He has been the recipient of the Millay Colony for the Arts residency, New York; the Vermont Studio Center awards; and Kala Art Institute Artist in Residence, Berkeley. His monograph A Sequence in Love was published in 2016 by Edition One Books, Berkeley. He recently became a member of the Right Window Collective in the historic Artists' Television Access in San Francisco’s Mission District. In 2017 The Sick Painter was curated by Jordan Stein.
