With hundreds of exhibitions across the world, awards in national and international fairs; auctions at Christie's and Sotheby's since 1981, and his work at the Museo Nacional de Artes Visuales in Montevideo (MNAV ), Museum Reina Sofia in Madrid, Museums in France, Buenos Aires, Haifa and United States, he chooses to work in his homeland spreading the esthetic modernization in the country.

His vast career with several "moments" portrays his long evolution. Textures and compositions are allied elements in his permanently flowing painting. His view of time, the connection between shape and color, sensation and volume matter. Rhythm and poetry stimulate endless imagination.

Bruno Widmann leaves us his transcendent work. Every day, the figures and special ambiance of his canvases continue their talk and discovery of worlds of unknown dimensions, as infinite as the observers who may value them.

"Understated humor brings light to canvases shaded in darkness" Uruguayan painter Bruno Widmann populates his works with stick figures, elevating the role of little people in the world" May 26, 2003 - David Pagel, Los Angeles Times.
