About Bryn Craig
“I want to express my emotions about the subject and to stimulate emotions in the viewer,” Bryn Craig has said of his compositions. Painting moody scenes cast in dramatic lighting, such as his paintings of the Lark Theater in California or his landscape Cloud Shadows, Craig conveys rich emotional experiences of awe, wonder, and admiration. He subtly distorts spaces, creating skewed and disoriented angles and perspective, an aspect of his work that distinguishes it from photorealism. His works have invited comparison with those of Edward Hopper.
