About Caio Fonseca

Caio Fonseca is an abstract painter who seeks to give form to the unseen. In line with masters of Modernism like Wassily Kandinsky and Piet Mondrian, Fonseca has said that he paints Baroque music and that he wants to reveal what he believes is a timeless, universal harmony and order present beneath the surface of our everyday, perceivable surroundings. His Fifth Street C09.9 (2009), with its interlocking white and fiery colored forms, exemplifies the tension between order and passion that animates his works.
