Carola Ducoli, ‘Green #2’, 2013, Phinest

Bearing in mind Kandinsky’s theory of the use of colours, Carola Ducoli’s shots tell stories of surfaces and shades, where space, body and sound mix in poetic colours vibrations. Green is absolute motion within absolute calm. It bores, it implies opulence, complacency; it is an appeasing calm. As it turns closer to yellow, it acquires energy and playfulness. The warm, semigravi ample tones of the violin belong to it.
