Isolating due to COVID-19, Catherine Howe developed new techniques for printing in her home studio. She found that printing on silk yielded very sensitive and subtle impressions. Her prints were mounted to a paper backing at Manneken Press, using a similar techniques used for mounting Chinese scrolls. Howe's sensuous brushwork is punctuated with opulent colors and the Habotai silk lends a slight shimmer to the piece.
