Charming and elegant, this tall earthenware vase is ornamented with a frieze of stylized lyrebirds standing at attention. The body and tail feathers are rendered with repeating blue waves and curlicues that create an undeniable mood of wit and whimsy. From a distance the overlapping tails resemble individual quills. The background is the natural color of the fired clay.
