About Christine Streuli

Christine Streuli’s diverse output of paintings represents a pure exploration of pattern and form. Drawing influence from Gary Hume, Christopher Wool, and the collaborations of Andy Warhol and Jean-Michel Basquiat, Streuli translates her reactions to visual stimuli into flat, highly formal compositions of intersecting patterns, including Op Art-reminiscent geometries, stylized flora, and swirling, gestural abstraction. Uniting her practice is Streuli’s belief that “form is content” and drive “to load form with content and to contextualize it, to place it in the content of ‘here and now.’”
