In a world in which photography images have become almost synonymous with unconcealment and exposure, Behrensen pictures only cloaks and masks.
UNREVEALED, conveys mysterious images of secrecy and concealement, she depicts masked and camouflaged feminine bodies, entirely wrapped up in the most outlandish clothes. Outwardly hidden and obscured, the characters she portrays don’t seem to be covering themselves up out of modesty or shame. Rather their garments appear to be protecting them, shielding them from exposure, preventing the possibility that -by showing themselves- they could be denied entry into more original revealing, and hence to experience the call from primal truth.
Her work has been exhibited several times in public and private cultural institutions, Buenos Aires Photo Fair, Art On Paper NY and Aqua Art Fair Miami.
