Cynthia Ona Innis’s (Affiliate ’12–’13) work stems from a fascination with hauntingly sublime, diverse and sometimes threatening landscapes that surround us. She has exhibited widely since receiving her BFA in fine arts from University of California, Berkeley and her MFA from Rutgers University. She has had solo exhibitions at Traywick Contemporary, Berkeley; Bentley Projects Gallery, Phoenix; PS122 Gallery, New York; and Walter Maciel Gallery, Los Angeles, among other venues. She has been included in shows at The Drawing Center, New York; Skidmore College, New York; San Jose Institute of Contemporary Art; Southern Exposure; and Yerba Buena Center for the Arts, among numerous other exhibitions. Her work is included in public collections such as the San Jose Museum; the Berkeley Art Museum and Pacific Film Archive; Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco; and the U.S. Art in Embassies Program. She lives and works in Berkeley, California.
