Daisuke Yokota, ‘Untitled (YKT_Corpus_08)’, 2014, Blindspot Gallery

Corpus is a series of grainy black and white close-up images featuring human limbs and torsos tangled up together. In the images, the indistinct bodies seem to be those of a man and a woman embracing each other in bed. The unique visual aesthetic in Yokota’s images is a result of his experiment of multiple rephotographing and printing, applying chemicals and burning the films.
