About Daniel Stanford

Bridging a fascination with global cultures with his work in fashion and luxury branding, Daniel Stanford’s marries the natural world with the human body—both in form and cultural production—in his photographs and photographic collages. The Montreal-based artist’s work takes him around the world, and his photographs demonstrate a particular affinity for distant locales, including deserts, Brazil, and Southeast Asia, the latter of which provides fodder for much of the spiritual imagery in his mixed-media collages. Stanford’s work also reveals his interest in the world of fashion. Models—especially dramatically posed nude females in striking natural settings—are among Stanford’s most recurrent images.
