About David Ebner

Master woodworker David Ebner makes what he calls “the antiques of the future.” A member of the Studio Craft movement, he creates furniture, sculptural objects, and art pieces that bridge the boundary between art and design, executed in the finest woods, bronze, steel, glass, and leather. Ebner studied his craft at the prestigious School for American Craftsmen at Rochester Institute of Technology, New York, where he honed his artistic approach to woodworking before setting up his own studio on the south shore of Long Island in 1973. His work has been shown at the Smithsonian Institute, the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston, and the Art Institute of Chicago.
