AP 1 of 2. Debra Bloomfield’s photographs employ metaphor to explore the relationship between the internal and external world. Bloomfield’s work has twice been featured in Giorgio Armani’s Acqua exhibition at Paris Photo, with the Wilderness series in 2014 and the Oceanscape series in 2015. Her photographs are included in the permanent collections of SFMOMA; New Mexico Museum of Art, Santa Fe; Museum of Fine Arts, Boston; and Victoria and Albert Museum, London, as well as other public and private collections. Bloomfield’s monographs include Four Corners; STILL: Oceanscapes; and Wilderness. An educator in the Bay Area since 1977, she teaches at the San Francisco Art Institute.
