Jerónimo López Ramírez, also known as Dr. Lakra, is a tattoo artist who lives and works in Oaxaca, Mexico. Working under his pseudonym (which loosely translates as “Dr. Delinquent”), Dr. Lakra works on vintage printed materials and found objects instead of skin, incorporating images of pinups, old-time Mexican businessmen, and professional wrestlers. Referencing diverse body art traditions from Latino, Pacific, and Southeast Asian cultures, Dr. Lakra's style is distinctive for its playful, naughty, and intentional vulgarity.
