About Edith Kuhnle
Edith Kuhnle’s paintings juxtapose different patterns and shapes, resulting in compositions that are subdued, yet rich and balanced. She channels the energy and immediacy of her brushwork into the organic forms and floral designs in her work. While her canvases are decorative in appearance, the paint drips and stains within each panel push the physicality of Kuhnle’s process to the fore. The artist’s large-scale paintings are particularly transfixing, as the bold forms appear to glow with an internal energy.
