The series CINEMA: Home Stories, seeks to turn these domestic photographs — which are originally more of a testimony and a document — into fiction. To tell stories, to build narratives, for the artist is a path towards a critical reappropriation of these photographs that are both unknown and familiar to us.
At the beginning of the production of this series, the artist bought a set (about
1000 pieces) of vernacular photographs from the 40s, 50s and 60s without defined origins or
provenance. Everything was mixed. The ability of the artist was to find in these photographs a story.
Each duplicated photograph is painted by hand, cutted and glued on paper.
