Edward del Rosario, ‘Reformations’, 2006, Lower East Side Printshop

Del Rosario has invented his own cast of characters, who act out a surrealistic, ongoing narrative in his crisp paintings and works on paper. “The compositions are snapshots of characters engaged in some ambiguous comedic or dramatic scene drawn from the narrative,” he says. “The scenes often redefine the narrative, and over the years, have modified and transformed it into an organic meta-narrative.”

Signature: Print is signed, unframed. Please note this work will be hanging in a show at the Lower East Side Printshop and will ship the week of March 17.
