The Sweet Life

Lollipops remind us about naughty and careless childhood when we crave for sweets. Bright colors of the sculptures celebrate life and bring smiles. I overstate candies that lure, charm, tease, disarm and surprise. Through the use of scale, color, and intensity in the forms, the lollipops we take for granted become aesthetically pleasing and seductive in atypical ways. My colorful, entertaining and impeccably produced lollipops activate the cravings people have for the things that give them pleasure and force them to surrender The sensual nature of the works stimulates basic human needs that generate desires and passion, they show society’s striving to fulfillment and happiness through possession of things that ends in dependency.
