When Albert Kahn built the Packard Automotive Plant number 10 in Detroit, Michigan in 1905 it was considered the most advanced factory in the world for its innovative use of reinforced concrete, which enabled vertical expansion in addition to large windows to improve working conditions. It is also a testament to luxury, inventive design, and American manufacturing excellence.
