Erin Hanson, ‘Zion Filigree’, 2017, The Erin Hanson Gallery

Visiting Zion in January is like exploring a fairyland of color. The white snow against the dark red earth is a beautiful sight, and cottonwood trees, bare of leaves, create criss-crossing shapes across the bright winter sky. This oil painting was created with loose, impressionistic brush strokes that create a mosaic of color and texture on the canvas.

This painting is hanging in the Impressions of Zion exhibition, and this piece is available for viewing at the Zion Art Museum, in Springdale, UT. The exhibition dates are June 9th - August 27th, 2017. All sold paintings will be shipped after the exhibition closes at the end of August.
