About Esao Andrews

Inspired by his favorite artists Gustav Klimt, Egon Schiele, Alfons Mucha, and Joe Sorren, Esao Andrews makes surreal figurative and landscape paintings that fuse mysterious narratives with dark, erotic imagery, sometimes meandering into the realm of nostalgia. Specializing in the gothic and grotesque, Andrews has also produced projects for DC Comics (in collaboration with Tara McPherson), created album cover artwork, and worked as an animator and skateboard designer.

American, b. 1978, Mesa, Arizona, based in Brooklyn, New York
