Esther Zitman, ‘Sideral’, 2016, The Public House of Art

Esther Zitman always finds applying lipstick to a man's head (to his picture that is) extremely satisfying. While she's doing it, she often thinks: this is weird, and at the same time it feels rather perverse. Not to mention it's a waste of good lipstick too. But it does provide an intriguing image. Someone told her that this is an iconoclastic act, which means she is actually destructing icons. Incidentally, Esther loves men.
