This series of ceramics by Étienne Chartrand was created particularly for The Garden exhibition and inspired by the Milbrath's sisters’ paintings. The lush plants and flora of the Milbrath's paintings were translated into Chartrand's vision. Plants and flora already had an important part in Chartrand's production, but here he pushed forward the idea that each imagined plant and flower had its own persona. The sophistication of the flora is here paralyzed in a reality where the heat and humidity are searing.
