Fallen Fruit, ‘Endless Orchard (version 1 on white background)’, 2017, Los Angeles Contemporary Exhibitions: Benefit Auction 2017

Framed: 54 x 24 in.

Fallen Fruit is a project that began in Los Angeles in 2004 by making maps of “public fruit.” Since this time the projects have expanded to include diverse site-specific artworks and projects that embrace public participation for museums and cities around the world. Recent exhibition projects include commissions by LACMA, Athens Biennale, Prospect 3+, Portland Art Museum, Wexner Center for the Arts, among others. Fallen Fruit was originally conceived by David Burns, Matias Viegener and Austin Young. Since 2013, David and Austin have continued the collaborative work. Fallen Fruit uses fruit and public spaces to change the way you see the world.
