About Felicia Ferrone

Chicago-based architect and designer Felicia Ferrone reinterprets conventional design. Ferrone studied architecture in the United States, followed by a six-year stint in Milan where she worked with many influential architects and product designers. Upon her return to Chicago, Ferrone established a design and research practice that uses a multidisciplinary, innovative approach to transform everyday environments. Ferrone’s work is distinguished by her minimalist sensibilities, as seen in her formal and conceptual “Revolution Collection” glassware and by her philosophical approach to design. Of her Shift table—which features a circular hole in its tabletop—Ferrone has said: “The void in the center forces you to think about your own interaction with the piece. It takes away an area where glasses and magazines might otherwise accumulate, convincing the user to think about returning the table to its natural form.”
