A multidisciplinary artist since 2004, Franco Defrancesca has created sculpture/installations, photography, digital art, and sound. He investigates the links between art and memory, history and technology, and uses digital imaging as a means to navigate the territory between photography and painting. Defrancesca’s work continues the color field and geometric works of mid-to-late 20 century post painterly abstraction, minimalism and op-art. His vibrantly colored works are made charming by their minimalist, modern and psychedelic vibe. Franco has exhibited and been collected in North America, Europe and Australia. This autumn-toned work is 1/1. It is digitally created, printed, mounted on wood panel - the wood layers show around the edges - and then encased in a high gloss resin on the front and the sides. The work is easy to install - a grab bar is mounted on the back. A video, illustrating how the work looks installed, and with Franco speaking about the work, is posted on our website.
