You are bidding on two commissioned portraits, each of 10 x 8 inches, to be executed from a photograph agreed upon between you and the artist following Art in General's Visionary Awards Gala.

Drawing upon his Mexican and Italian heritage, Franco Mondini-Ruiz produces pop art with an absurdist twist. He has achieved a near-Warhol status in his hometown of San Antonio for mythic parties and mentorship of young artists at the art space Infinito Botánica. Mondini-Ruiz garnered much acclaim for his “Modern Piñata” series; reproductions of post-war 20th century masterpieces designed to smash. His works have been presented at the New World Museum in Texas and the Light Box Gallery in Los Angeles.
